Old Oakhamian Lodge to host Federation of School Lodges 2026 Annual Meeting

We are delighted to announce that Old Oakhamians Lodge will be hosting the Federation of School Lodges (FSL) Annual Meeting on Saturday 15th August 2026. This is a significant honour for our Lodge, and preparations are already underway to make it a memorable and well-supported event. The FSL Travelling Gavel

At the recent FSL meeting in Dover, five of our members attended – making us the Lodge with the largest representation on the day. Not only that, but we had also travelled the furthest, which meant we were able to claim the FSL Travelling Gavel outright.

This gavel has a proud tradition of being passed between Lodges, and as we now hold it, we can expect keen challenges from other Lodges in the months ahead! With this in mind, we’re anticipating a particularly lively and well-attended December meeting, so visitors are warmly encouraged to join us.

Looking Ahead

In addition to the Gavel, we have also received the ceremonial Baton as hosts of the 2026 FSL Annual Meeting. This marks the beginning of an exciting journey as we build towards welcoming Lodges from across the Federation to Oakham in one years’ time.
